Aquatic Programs
The DeKalb Park District offers a 6-level swim lesson program focusing on building skills and confidence. Levels begin with an Introduction to Swimming to Refining Swim Strokes. We offer a modified version of our Learn-to-Swim programs for ages 4+ and Levels 1 - 6. Come learn to swim with us!
We also offer seasonal aquatic programs for kids and teens, lifeguard certification courses, and FREE summer-time aquatic events! View aquatic event details on our web calendar.

Cancelations could occur due to severe weather or facility conditions. If needed, a make-up day will be the week after your lesson session. Follow our RainOut Line for updates!
Signing up for programs early helps prevent cancellations by demonstrating sufficient interest and ensuring that programs reach their minimum participant requirements. Recruit friends, family, and neighbors to sign up for programs with you or help get the word out in our community!
Open Lap Swim
All Ages
Get in your swim workout as your schedule allows with a Lap Swim Card. The card costs $30 and is good for 10 Huntley Middle School Pool visits during seasonal designated lap swim hours on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. *Open Lap Swim is available only during Private Swim Lesson session dates and times.

Group Swim Lessons
Ages 4-15
Spring Lessons: Mondays & Wednesdays; Saturdays
Summer Lessons: Monday-Thursday; Saturdays
Lessons follow a research-based curriculum that allows students to progress through the levels at their own pace, mastering the skills in one level before advancing to the next. Classes are divided into groups based on ability and completion of prerequisites.

Adult Group Swim Lessons
Ages 16+ • Saturdays
Calling all adults who have never learned how to swim or haven't swam in years! If you would like a refresher or learn how to swim, then this class is for you. Our adult swim lessons focus on basic strokes and safety around water. So whether you plan on swimming at the pool or going out on the boat, this class is for you.

Private Swim Lessons
Spring Lessons: All Ages • Mondays & Wednesdays; Saturdays
Summer Lessons: Ages 4 + • Monday - Thursday; Saturdays
One-on-one instruction is provided for children and adults. Semi-private lessons are offered for students at the same skill level that wish to share the instructor. Students may work on the skills from the group lessons or other specific skills as desired.

Lifeguard Certification Class
Ages 15+ • Sports & Rec Center, Conference Room & Huntley Middle School Pool
This blended learning, American Red Cross-certified lifeguard class includes Basic Lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid training. All certifications are valid for two years. Please note that this blended learning class combines in-class sessions with online learning. Plan an additional 8-10 hours outside meeting times to complete the online class sessions. The certification fee is for all three dates.
