Halloween House Decorating Contest

Calling all ghouls and ghosts, witches and warlocks – we want to see your most festive and frightening house decorations in our 5th Annual DeKalb Halloween House Decorating Contest!
We will award prizes for the Best Overall Theme, Best Special Effects, Scariest Display, and People’s Choice. Staff will judge all displays on October 16 between 4:00 – 11:00 pm. Choose either a daylight or night display option. (Residents do not need to be present for judging). This contest is for DeKalb residents only.
Addresses of all entries will be published (see list below) in local media unless specified otherwise at the time of registration. Winners for all awards, except People’s Choice, will be posted on October 17. All displays will be judged online through the District Facebook page for a People’s Choice Award, October 17 – October 24. The image with the most “likes” by 9:00 pm on October 24 wins! The People’s Choice winner will be officially announced on October 25. Prize packages are generously sponsored by Raising Canes.
Fee: $5 per house (contest for DeKalb residents only!) Registration Deadline: October 15 (or until full)
