Tai Chi

Learn two different Tai Chi styles; Chen style is vigorous and complex combining fast and slow movements with powerful spiral force. Sun style incorporates unique qigong life energy movements with agile stepping. These two seemingly contrasting styles have complementary internal energy. This program is designed for all levels.

Tai chi & QiGong in the park

Join us for World Tai Chi and QiGong Day as we celebrate the great benefits of Tai Chi and learn how this type of exercise can be beneficial for you. Tom Scott, certified instructor in Dr. Paul Lams Tai Chi for Health programs will be educating participants, answering questions and then leading a 45-minute Tai Chi class in the beautiful Hopkins Park.

Strengthen your muscles, improve your balance and posture, and relieve pain caused by everyday mobility by doing this workout designed to improve your abdominal area, obliques, and upper torso. You will develop muscles that you weren't even aware of while improving your ability to perform daily tasks without soreness and stiffness and increasing your overall sense of well being.

Restorative Yoga

A gentle, mindful flow designed to enhance range of motion, deepen the breath, and stretch the entire body. This practice blends slow, fluid movement with intentional stillness, promoting relaxation and leaving you feeling refreshed, restored, and reconnected.
