DeKalb, IL-Hop into springtime fun with three egg-citing DeKalb Park District events!
We're starting the spring season with themed activities and a yummy buffet at the Breakfast with the Bunny event on Saturday, April 1, held in the Hopkins Park Terrace Room at 1403 Sycamore Road. From 9:30-10:45 am, families can enjoy a breakfast that includes scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, biscuits 'n' gravy, fruit, pastries, milk, coffee, and juice, all catered by the Junction Eating Place. The fee is $13 for residents and $16 for non-residents. Remember your camera! The Bunny will be on-site for some personalized photos. Sign-up early as space is limited, and tickets are sold until March 29.
All little bunnies are invited to participate in the FREE annual Kids' Egg Hunt Saturday, April 1, at 11:00 am SHARP in Hopkins Park! Bring a basket and prepare to seek eggs filled with prizes and candy in this annual tradition. The Bunny will even make a guest appearance! This event is for children ages 2-10, and kids will divide into age-specific areas. Although parents may accompany their children, the staff asks that they do not assist in collecting eggs. Meet by the Hopkins Park Gazebo! Due to inclement weather, the Kids Egg Hunt is moved indoors to Haish Gym.
Ages 11-18 will be egg-cited to check out the Teen Glow-in-the-Dark Egg Hunt on Wednesday, April 5, in Hopkins Park. Grab your friends and join the quest to find hundreds of glow-in-the-dark eggs filled with candy and prizes. Sign up as an individual or form teams of four! This event is a great way to enjoy the park in a supervised setting after dark. The individual fee is $5 for residents or $6 for non-residents. The Team of Four fee is $18 for residents and $23 for non-residents. Due to inclement weather, Teen Egg Hunt is moving indoors to Haish Gym, 303 S. 9th Street.
