Tee Off for a Great Cause!

DeKalb, IL—The DeKalb Park District and the DeKalb Parks Foundation invite the community to participate in the 19th annual fundraising event, Golf Fore the Kids Scholarship Golf Outing, on Friday, June 20, at River Heights Golf Course, located at 1020 Sharon Drive. Check-in is at 10:00 a.m., with a shotgun starting at 11:00 a.m. Afternoon appetizers and the award ceremony begin roughly around 4:00 p.m. In case of inclement weather, Friday, June 27, is the scheduled rain date for this event. 

All proceeds from the event benefit the Scholarship Assistance Program. This vital program helps provide DeKalb residents access to recreational opportunities they would otherwise be unable to participate in due to financial constraints. Fee assistance can be used for both park district programs and facility access. Each year, the District provides thousands of dollars to families in DeKalb to participate in recreation programs like memberships, summer camps, athletic leagues, and more. The program has made a significant difference in the lives of many families, and its continued success relies on the generous support of the DeKalb community members, businesses, and beyond.

Golfers may sign up for the outing as a twosome ($200) or a foursome ($400). The cost includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch, drink tickets, afternoon appetizers, and a swag bag and hat for the first 100 golfers. We will also have exciting raffles, golden ticket blind bogey winners, and an awards ceremony.  There will be many opportunities to give back even more with our fun on-course games. 

Businesses are invited to show community support and participate in the event in various ways. They can become sponsors, donate, sign up for golf, or make a charitable contribution to the Scholarship Assistance Program at any amount.
