NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE FOR THE DEKALB PARK DISTRICT

I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for the DeKalb Park District for 2024 will be held on November 21, 2024, at 6:05 p.m. at the Hopkins Park Community Center Terrace Room, 1403 Sycamore Rd, Dekalb, IL 60115

II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2023 were $3,790,344.36.

The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2024 are $5,008,500. This represents a 32.14% increase over the previous year.

III. The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2023 were $1,522,062.21.

The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2024 are $1,598,000. This represents a 4.99% increase over the previous year.

IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2023 were $5,312,406.57.

The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2024 are $6,606,500. This represents a 24.36% increase over the previous year.
