The DeKalb Park District offers field rentals in a variety of locations for soccer, baseball, and softball.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed at our parks or ballfields unless otherwise arranged through a City of DeKalb Alcohol Permit.

Kiwanis Park Soccer Field
The Kiwanis Park Soccer Fields are outdoor fields located directly behind the Sports and Recreation Center. The renter is responsible to provide their own goal nets and corner flags.
Rental Rate
1 field - $50 per game
Softball/Baseball Field Rentals
The DeKalb Park District offers a number of softball/baseball fields available to rent. These fields include Katz Park, Hopkins Park, Prather Park, and McCormick Park.
The fields are available from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Softball/baseball field prep rentals include before use (grooming-lining-setting bases), use of restroom facilities, use of scoreboard controls (renter must provide operator), and keys for restroom facilities, equipment room/box, and lights (if used). Ask us about all day field rental options!
Rental Rates
Option 1.) 1 field- For practice with no field prep: $30/hour
Option 2.) 1 field- For practice/games with field field prep: $75/game
Option 3.) Add on of $25/hour/field to either option #1 or #2 for lights

Lightning & Thunder Policy
ALL PERSONS SUPERVISING AND/OR OFFICIATING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES BE AWARE THAT WHEN LIGHTNING OR THUNDER IS OBSERVED OR HEARD, OUTDOOR PROGRAMS SHOULD BE SUSPENDED IMMEDIATELY AND
EVERYONE SHOULD SEEK APPROPRIATE SHELTER.
Supervisors and/or officials should adhere to the following procedures and guidelines:
- Clear fields and playing areas of all players and spectators immediately.
- Advise that everyone take shelter in cars or available shelters.
- DO NOT take shelter under trees.
- Activities will be suspended for a minimum of 30 minutes after the last sign of lightning or thunder is observed.
- If constant lightning and thunder continue or if the fields become unsafe for play due to excessive rain the games will be canceled.
- Please wait in a safe area until a supervisor or official of the Park District makes a determination to cancel or resume activities.
- Canceled games will be rescheduled by the Park District and coaches will be notified of make-up dates and times.
