Morning Minis

8:30 - 11:30 am

This morning program is designed specifically for our motivated and active young kids. A variety of activities and events are designed to get the young generation moving. Activities include daily trips to the park, kids concerts, or external entertainment on select weeks.

Lil' Lunchers

11:30 am - 1:30 pm

This lunchtime program is designed to promote social interaction amongst our young kids. This program begins with a full lunch provided by Northern Illinois Food Bank and ends with small activities related to story time and imagination games.

Afternoon Adventurers

1:30 - 4:30 pm

Our young adventurers will spend the afternoon participating in crafts and activities that change with the theme each week. Weather permitting, kids will embark on weekly outdoor adventures including a trip to the Splash Pad. A small snack is provided each afternoon from the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

S.A.M.A. Karate Of DeKalb

Learn discipline, focus, self-confidence, coordination, fitness, self-defense and more through the study of karate. Classes are taught by Sensei Shannon Marbutt and his assistants. Belt, tests, uniforms, and other equipment are available at reasonable fees payable to the instructor. Voted "The Best" Martial Arts programs in 2022 DeKalb County's Finest, as part of the Daily Chronicle Reader's Choice Awards.

Sensei Shannon Marbutt 

SAMA Karate Instructor

Sensei Shannon has been involved in karate for about forty years. Sensei Shannon holds the rank of 6th degree black belt  in karate. He is registered and certified under Great Grandmaster Andrew Torok through the KSDI of Northern California.  Sensei Shannon established S.A.M.A. Karate back in 1992. 


Kids Pizza and Paint Nights

(Ages 6-13)

Join us for a fun night of painting and pizza! Artists of all abilities will be guided through a step-by-step canvas painting that you will bring home. Cheer Clinics

Jenny Harvel

Cheer Coach 

Jenny fell in love with the sport when she was just a kid and Jr coached many years during high-school and is now currently an Allstar cheerleading coach at an Allstar gym near by. She has coached there for the past 8 years and had very successful teams ranging from 4 year olds to 18 years old ! They travel all over the place , in many different states competing against people from all over the world! Her passion has always been cheerleading and when she began coaching , Jenny fell in love with a completely different side of cheer.

Most of her clinics that she hosts here for Dekalb consist of flexibility, tumbling , stunting , jumps, and routine training! Jenny can't wait to share her love of the sport with you all and she hopes to see you at the next clinic! 


NEW! Baby & Toddler Sensory Playtime

(Ages 6 mos. - 3, with Adult)
Littles come play! This class will work on fine and gross motor skills and language through play and exploration. This curated class offers sensory bins, story time, movement, and creation. Bring an extra outfit because sometimes play is messy! Quality time with a caregiver/parent is required.

Natalie Carrillo 

Baby & Toddler Sensory Playtime Instructor

Natalie Carrillo is currently a High-Impact Tutor at the Illinois Tutoring Initiative- a bold vision for supporting student learning and social-emotional. She currently works with elementary students in Math and Reading Skills. She has a strong-willed toddler who seeks active play , nature, sports, and imagination! She is eager to share her exploration of play in her sessions. 


NEW! Weaving for Beginners

(Ages 9 - 16)

If you have tried paper weaving before and would like to take it a step further, this class is for you. Using yarn, students will learn the basic over and under weaving method. Your final weaving will be hung on a dowel rod for display.

Horseback Riding Lessons

(Ages 6 +)

Would you like a horse experience but don't know where to start? Willow Creek Farm is your go-to whether you're a beginning rider or looking to get back in the saddle after some time off. Specializing in English and Western instruction, we have horses for every part of your riding career. Lessons will include detailed explanation of grooming practice, correct tack-up routine, riding skills, and more! Participants should wear long pants and shoes with no more than a 1" heel. After signing up you will be contacted to schedule a lesson.
