Know Before You Go (FAQ)

Q: Are lockers available on-site?

A: Yes! Lockers are available. You can bring your own locks or purchase one from guest services.

Q: Where can I park?

A: Parking by the North Lot (by the playground and pickleball courts) is the closest entrance to the pool. Please note that the Hopkins Park Community Center closes at 5:00 PM on weekdays and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. If you park in the South Lot, you will have to walk around the building.

If the pool is packed and parking is tight, overflow parking is available in the North Grass Overflow Lot by the Brown Barn.

Q: Do I need my ID to get in?

A: We check the head of household for a valid ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport) to verify residency to determine resident or non-resident rate, along with age (all guests must be 16 years or older, or they must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older).

A current school ID identifying the year in school for High School Juniors or Seniors can be substituted for a government ID to verify age. 

Q: I just moved to DeKalb, but I haven't updated my ID. Can I still get the resident rate?

A: Yes! Please bring your current ID and a recent utility bill to qualify for the resident rate.

A: Can I bring my water in?

Q: You can bring in sealed, unopened water bottles or empty tumblers. Empty tumblers can be filled at our water fountains for free.

Please note, glass of any type is not allowed in. This includes bottles, cups, containers, goggles/face masks, etc.

A: When are peak hours?

Q: Peak hours are between 12:00 and 3:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. For a quicker check-in, we recommend arriving before or after peak hours. If you are visiting during this timeframe, be sure to have your IDs ready and review our rules in advance for a smoother and quicker check-in experience.
